CRPF jawan shoots wife dead, ends life

A CRPF constable allegedly shot his wife dead before killing himself at their house in Bhopal on Thursday. Ravikant Verma (35), who was stationed at the CRPF’s Bangrasia Camp, killed his wife Renu (32) around 1.30 am, and then called the CRPF control room, police and his landlord, before shooting himself with the same service rifle. Misrod police station SHO MR Bhadouria said initial probe indicated the shooting was a fallout of family discord.
