Dominica to confer highest national honour on PM Modi
Apart from Covid, the award also recognises India's support for Dominica in education and IT under PM Modi's leadership

The Commonwealth of Dominica on Thursday announced its decision to bestow its highest national award, the Dominica Award of Honour, upon PM Narendra Modi, in recognition of his contributions to Dominica during the Covid 19 pandemic and his dedication to strengthening the partnership between India and Dominica.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been a true friend of Dominica particularly in the hour of need during the global health crisis," the citation said.
PM Modi has accepted the award while highlighting the need for collaboration in addressing global issues such as climate challenge and geopolitical conflicts and affirming his support to Dominica and the Caribbean.
