Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Friday asked party leaders from Kerala to remain united and refrain from voicing contradictory opinions and not do anything that may impact the existing mood of the people in Kerala.

Rahul was speaking at a meeting convened by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge here to take stock of the party’s preparedness for next year’s Assembly elections in Kerala.

Rahul Gandhi said he was having an emotional connect with the people of Kerala as he had represented Wayanad constituency of Kerala in Lok Sabha. The constituency is now represented in Lok Sabha by his sister Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul said and added that popular mood in the state was favouring the Congress now and the local Congress leaders should not do anything that could swing the mood.
