The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued an advisory against the use of the term “100 per cent” in food labelling, citing concerns over its potential to mislead consumers. It said it had asked all food business operators to refrain from using the term on food labels.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
