The BJP on Wednesday attacked Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge for demanding a return to the ballot system and said the Congress should replace Rahul Gandhi instead of seeking to replace EVMs.

“EVMs are fine. Rahul Gandhi is the problem. The Congress should focus on replacing him, not the EVMs. Kharge knows where the issue lies, but he is unable to speak the truth,” BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said.

He said the people have sidelined the Congress whose politics had been reduced to mere accusations.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
