The BJP on Saturday released its second list of 29 candidates for the Delhi Assembly poll, fielding Harish Khurana, the son of former CM Madan Lal Khurana, from Moti Nagar.
With today’s list, the BJP has declared 58 candidates for the 70-member Delhi Assembly. In the first list, the BJP had fielded Parvesh Verma, the son of late CM of Delhi Sahib Singh Verma. The BJP has now fielded sons of two former CMs for the Delhi elections.
Of the 29 candidates named today, five are women.
Kapil Mishra, Delhi BJP vice-president, has been fielded from Karawal Nagar.
The list was released after the BJP central election committee meeting on Friday. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The voting will be held on February 5 and the results will be announced on February 8.
