He came to Gujarat to immerse wife’s ashes, died in Ahmedabad plane crash
His wife had died just a week back. And now, Thursday’s air crash in Ahmedabad claimed Arjun Patolia’s life. This leaves their two daughters orphans at ages eight and four.
Patolia, who was visiting India for her wife’s last rites and to honour her final wish, was travelling back to London to reunite with his daughters, but destiny had other plans.
According to a report by Daily Mail, Arjun’s deceased wife, Bhartiben, originally hailed from a village in Gujarat’s Amreli district, and wanted her ashes to be immersed in a local river there.
After completing his wife’s last rites, Arjun was returning to London on the ill-fated Air India flight.
The plane crashed shortly after taking off, killing 241 people on board, with a lone survivor.
