HM opens multi-agency centre for sharing intel
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said Operation Sindoor against Pakistan was a reflection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s firm political will, precise intelligence gathering by various agencies and unmatched strike capability of the country’s three armed forces.
He said this after inaugurating an upgraded multi-agency centre (MAC) in the national capital for intelligence sharing among various agencies. He said the Rs 500-crore MAC facility would serve as a robust internal security grid of the country by synergising the efforts of security agencies to net threats of terrorism, insurgency, organised crimes and cyber-attacks.
He lauded the new multi-agency centre network, noting that it incorporated futuristic capabilities such as embedded AI techniques to harness the potential of the vast database with MAC and GIS services.
He also emphasised the need to integrate other significant databases housed with different central agencies in different silos, on this platform for leveraging the advanced data analytics made available with the new MAC.
He said Operation Black Forest, the three-week-long anti-Naxal operation carried out jointly by the CRPF and police, demonstrated the excellent coordination between the security forces.
