India sends assistance to hurricane-ravaged Cuba
India sent relief assistance to the people of Cuba on Friday, following the devastation caused by Hurricane Rafael last year.
In November, Cuba was struck by a powerful Category 3 hurricane that ravaged the island nation, destroying hundreds of homes, crippling the country's power grid, and damaging other infrastructure.
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated: "Vishwabandhu Bharat sends Humanitarian Assistance for the people of Cuba."
Jaiswal also said that a shipment of essential medicines, including antibiotics, antipyretics, painkillers, ORS, and muscle relaxants, departed for the country today in response to the aftermath of Hurricane Rafael.
