However, the 37-year-old Yordanis Cobos-Martinez did not even stop there. After decapitating the victim’s body, he kicked his head, which then rolled down a street, and the horrifying visual was also caught on a CCTV camera.

According to local media reports, the victim, identified as 50-year-old Chandra Nagamallaiah, was originally from Karnataka. The incident took place on September 10 at the Downtown Suites motel on Samuell Boulevard, where Nagamallaiah had been staying with his wife and son.

The reports further suggested that Nagamallaiah had told the accused Cobos-Martinez, not to use a broken washing machine at the motel. Investigators said Cobos-Martinez became enraged, retrieved a machete, and assaulted Nagamallaiah.

The affidavit notes that the victim ran towards the motel’s front office, where his family was present, but the attacker pursued him. Despite efforts by his wife and son to intervene, Cobos-Martinez allegedly pushed them aside and continued the assault, ultimately beheading Nagamallaiah. He then kicked the severed head before disposing of it in a dumpster.

Police officers responding to the scene found Cobos-Martinez covered in blood and carrying the machete. He was taken into custody immediately.

Meanwhile, Consulate General of India in Houston expressed condolences over the tragic incident. “We are in touch with the family and offering all possible assistance. The accused is in the custody of Dallas Police. We are following up on the matter closely,” they said.
