The Centre on Thursday declared Mohammad Qasim Gujjar, alias Salman, as a designated terrorist. An LeT operative, Gujjar is the mastermind of several terror attacks.
In a gazette notification, the government included his name as a designated terrorist by amending the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
“The Modi government has declared the dreaded mastermind of several terror attacks Mohammad Qasim Gujjar, alias Salman, alias Suleman, as a designated terrorist. An operative of the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) Mohammad Qasim Gujjar has caused numerous deaths and injuries with terror attacks and is involved in planning war against Bharat,” Home Minister Amit Shah said in a post on X.
