MoD to hold meeting with diplomats as it props Aero India for global market

Trying to position Aero India as a prime event for aerospace sector, the Ministry of Defence is conducting a ‘roundtable’ to brief Ambassadors and diplomats on the business and strategic possibilities at the event.

Aero-India, a biennial event, is scheduled to be held in Bengaluru from February 10-14.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will chair the ‘Ambassadors’ Round-Table’ in New Delhi and invitations have been extended to Ambassadors and High Commissioners of over 150 friendly countries for participating in the event.

The ministry would brief the diplomats on major events at Aero India, while the minister will extend a personal invite to the leaders of various countries. 

Aero India attracts a large number of exhibitors from the world’s leading industries in aerospace and defence. It provides a unique opportunity for the industry to showcase their capabilities, products and services to the targeted audience. The event serves as a platform for industry leaders to connect.

The MoD has positioned the event as a platform to forge new partnerships and explore avenues.

The target is to position the event as a platform for forging partnerships between foreign and Indian firms and the discovery of newer avenues in the global value chain.

The Ministry targets to surpass the business Aero India provided in its last edition in 2023. The last edition attracted over seven lakh visitors, dignitaries from 98 countries and 809 exhibitors.
