Mumbai Police rescue 5-year-old kidnapped and trafficked by relatives
Mumbai Police have rescued a five-year-old girl who was kidnapped from Vakola in Santacruz (East) and trafficked by her own relatives.
The child’s maternal uncle and aunt allegedly abducted her around midnight and sold her for Rs 90,000. Investigators later found that the first buyer resold the girl to another person for Rs 1.8 lakh.

After the mother filed a complaint, officers from the Vakola Police Station launched an urgent investigation. Tracing the child’s movements, they tracked her to Panvel. A police team reached the location, rescued the girl on November 25, and brought her safely back to Mumbai.
An officer was seen comforting the child with chocolates before she was reunited with her mother.
Mumbai Police confirmed on social media that five people connected to the kidnapping and trafficking network have been arrested.
