The minister was addressing officers at the Army War College, Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. Officers of all three services are trained at the college.

Rajnath said radical changes were being witnessed in the way warfare was conducted now. “Unconventional methods like information warfare, artificial intelligence-based warfare, proxy warfare, electro-magnetic warfare, space warfare and cyber attacks are posing a big challenge in today’s times,” he said.

“Mastering frontier technologies in today’s constantly evolving times is the need of the hour. The military training centres are playing a crucial role in equipping and readying soldiers to deal with future challenges,” said Rajnath.

Rajnath highlighted that defence exports, which were around Rs 2,000 crore a decade ago, had crossed Rs 21,000 crore.
