NDA’s win in Bihar ‘historic’; ‘seal of trust’ for welfare policies of double engine govt: Nadda
Nadda said people of the country have been ensuring BJP’s massive victory in every election held after the party secured a 'little lesser' number of seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha election
BJP president JP Nadda on Friday said the people gave a massive mandate like a “tsunami” to NDA in the Bihar election for good governance and development in the state, putting a “no entry” board for the ‘jungle raj’ that the state witnessed during the RJD rule in the past.
Showing “unprecedented and unwavering trust and love” for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, people came out in large numbers to support NDA and gave a befitting reply to the opposition parties who insulted ‘Chhathi Maiyya’ and did not even spare Modi’s late mother during the election.
“It is a massive mandate and the poll results show it’s a tsunami. People of Bihar have expressed unwavering faith and love for Modi and also put a seal on the progress that the country is making under his leadership,” Nadda said, while addressing an event organised at the BJP headquarters to celebrate NDA’s victory in the state polls.
Nadda said people of the country have been ensuring BJP’s massive victory in every election held after the party secured a “little lesser” number of seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
“People felt the pinch and pain, and decided to actively participate in the election. After 2024 (Lok Sabha poll), people have been giving a massive mandate to the BJP-NDA in one after another election, be it Haryana, Maharashtra, Delhi and now Bihar, with unwavering trust in Prime Minister Modi,” he said.
“Now, people of the country have decided not to make such mistakes again with the resolve of making India a developed state under Modi’s leadership,” he added.
The BJP chief alleged that the Mahagathbandhan was playing divisive politics in the state, hoping to win elections with the support of the “infiltrators” but people gave them a befitting reply.
The Bihar verdict has put a “no entry” board for ‘jungle raj’ as people have voted for development and good governance, he said.
People sent out a clear message that they are standing with “nationalist forces”, he added.
In a post on X, Nadda hailed NDA’s victory in the Bihar poll as “historic” and said it is a seal of trust for development and welfare policies of the “double engine” government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
He said the “resounding majority” that NDA has got in the election is also proof that people of Bihar have completely rejected the Mahagathbandhan’s ‘jungle raj’ and corruption, and embraced the dimensions of “good governance, stability, and development” of the ruling coalition.
“The historic public support received by NDA in Bihar is a seal of trust from the people on the development-oriented and public welfare policies of the double engine government” of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Kumar, the BJP chief said.
This “unprecedented mandate” will give a concrete form to fulfil NDA’s resolve of making Bihar a developed state and India a developed country, he added.
NDA was set to sweep the Bihar Assembly poll, surging ahead in close to 200 out of the total 243 seats, with BJP emerging as the single largest party with nearly 95 per cent strike rate.
The Mahagathbandhan, which includes RJD, the Congress and three Left parties, was struggling to cross the 35-seat mark.
