NEET-UG paper leak: Hazaribagh principal, vice-principal named in second chargesheet
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed a second chargesheet in connection with the NEET-UG 2024 question paper theft case before the Special Court for CBI cases in Patna, naming six accused.
The chargesheet has been submitted under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code, including Sections 120-B, 109, 409, 420, 380, 201, and 411.
Additionally, substantive charges under Section 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(a) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018) have been invoked against the Principal of Oasis School, who was appointed as the City Coordinator, and the Vice-Principal, who served as the centre superintendent, by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the NEET-UG 2024 examination.
The six individuals named in this second chargesheet are Baldev Kumar, alias Chintu, Sunny Kumar, Dr Ahsanul Haque (Principal, Oasis School, Hazaribagh and City Coordinator of Hazaribagh), Mohammad Imtiyaz Alam (vice-principal, Oasis School and centre superintendent), Jamaluddin, alias Jamal, (a Hazaribagh-based journalist), and Aman Kumar Singh.
Earlier, the CBI had filed its first chargesheet against 13 accused on August 1.
