NIA arrests 4 prime accused, gets 10-day custody from Delhi court
They had played a key role in the terror attack that killed several innocent persons and left many others injured
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday arrested four key accused in the November 10 car blast outside the Red Fort in Delhi. The agency has so far arrested six persons in the case.
A Delhi court later sent Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganai of Pulwama, Dr Adeel Ahmed Rather of Anantnag, Dr Shaheen Saeed of Lucknow and Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay of Shopian to 10-day NIA custody.
These suspects were already in police custody and had now been arrested by the NIA, which had taken over the case on November 11.
The four accused were taken into custody by the NIA in Srinagar on production orders from the District Sessions Judge, Patiala House Court.
They had played a key role in the terror attack that killed several innocent persons and left many others injured, as per the NIA investigations.
The NIA had earlier arrested two other accused — Amir Rashid Ali, in whose name the car used in the blast was registered, and Jasir Bilal Wani, alias Danish, who had provided technical aid to the terrorists involved in the deadly attack.
Their interrogation is continuing as part of the NIA’s probe to unravel the complete terror conspiracy in the case.
The NIA is working closely with various state police forces to track and arrest every member of the terrorist module involved in the carnage.
