Nishikant Dubey's jibe at Raj Thackeray as their war of words continues
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on Saturday took a swipe at Raj Thackeray, saying he has taught him Hindi after the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader briefly spoke in Hindi to target the Lok Sabha member.
“You come to Mumbai. ‘Mumbai ke samandar me dubo dubo kar marengein’. (We will hammer you in the Mumbai sea),” Thackeray had said in Hindi at an event, targeting Dubey for his “tumko patak patak ke marengein’ jibe at him over the language row in Maharashtra.
“I have taught Raj Thackeray Hindi,” Dubey asked on X with a question mark.
Thackeray, known for strongarm tactics over the ‘Marathi manoos’ plank, has reunited with his cousin and Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray in the opposition to the BJP-led government’s decision to introduce a third language from Class 1 in schools, which was later scrapped.
Dubey had attacked him and the campaign against Hindi which saw a few incidents of people being manhandled in Mumbai after the younger Thackeray had told his party workers to not make a video if they decide to beat up someone during their agitation.
