The National Testing Agency (NTA), which will conduct the NEET(UG) 2025 examination across 5,453 centres on Sunday, has stated that preparations have been taken to avoid any chance of leak and malpractice.

The NEET UG examination was marred with allegations of paper leak and malpractice last year.

“All preparations and logistical arrangements for organising a safe and secure examination have been made. Over 22.7 lakh candidates have registered for the examination, which will take place tomorrow from 2-5 pm. The mock drills at all centres were successfully conducted earlier today,” director general of NTA, Pradeep Singh Kharola, said.

In a concerted effort to curb the spread of baseless rumours about the availability of NEET (UG) 2025 examination content, the NTA has taken up the cases reported through its "Suspicious Claims Portal on NEET (UG) 2025 examination" with the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

“As a result, action has been initiated against over 165 Telegram channels and more than 32 Instagram accounts disseminating false information,” Kharola said.

In a statement issued on Saturday, NTA said that in a case where individuals in Gujarat offered inflated marks in exchange for money, appropriate action has already been taken by the state government.

Likewise, in Odisha, action has already been taken by the police against those trying to deceive aspirants by fraudulent means and false assurances. All state governments are on an alert to nab any culprit who tries to indulge in unfair means, NTA said.

The agency has advised students to rely only on official communications from the NTA website and avoid engaging with unverified sources or middlemen claiming to influence the examination or admission process.
