A high-level meeting is currently under way at the Ministry of Home Affairs in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.

Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Director of the Intelligence Bureau Tapan Deka, and Chief of R&AW Ravi Sinha are reportedly in attendance, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The meeting comes just hours after the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, convened on the evening of April 23 and decided a series of retaliatory measures, including holding the Indus Water Treaty in abeyance, closing the Attari Integrated Checkpoint, and cancelling SAARC visas for Pakistani nationals in response to the attack.
