Pakistan to hold national security meeting on Thursday after India takes measures following Pahalgam attack
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened a meeting of the National Security Committee on Thursday to respond to India's measures following the Pahalgam terror attack, the country's Deputy PM Ishaq Dar announced on Wednesday.
Pakistan's announcement came after the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) met on Wednesday evening under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
All services chiefs and key cabinet ministers would attend the meeting.
India recognising the seriousness of the attack has announced several measures against Pakistan. During a special briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said India had kept the Indus Water Treaty in abeyance "until Pakistan credibly and irrevocably abjures its support for cross-border terrorism".
India also announced the closure of the integrated check post at Attari with immediate effect besides curtailing diplomatic relations.
