As India prepares to celebrate its 78th Independence Day on August 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited citizens to share their suggestions and ideas for his upcoming address to the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister wrote: “As we approach this year's Independence Day, I look forward to hearing from my fellow Indians! What themes or ideas would you like to see reflected in this year’s Independence Day speech? Share your thoughts on the open forums on MyGov and the NaMo App.”

The 2025 ceremony will mark a significant milestone, as it will be PM Modi’s 12th consecutive Independence Day speech — making him only the third Prime Minister after Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi to achieve this distinction.
