PM Modi prays at Sreesailam temple in Andhra Pradesh
Modi is in Andhra Pradesh to unveil projects worth over Rs 14,000 crore
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday prayed at the Srisailam temple in Andhra Pradesh and was accompanied by his NDA partner and state chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
The occasion was a show of NDA unity with Modi, Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan present.
Srisailam Jyotirlinga temple is a significant Hindu pilgrimage town in Andhra Pradesh, famous for the ancient Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga temple and the Bhramaramba Devi temple.
It is situated in the Nallamala Hills and is known as one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and a Shakti Peetham. The town is also known for the Srisailam Dam on the Krishna river and the large Nagarjunsagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve.
