PM Modi to launch Rs 45K-cr projects in Bihar next week

PM Narendra Modi will visit Bihar’s Purnea next week to open an airport and unveil development projects worth around Rs 45,000 crore. He will also inaugurate a power plant at Pirpainti in Bhagalpur district, Kosi-Mechi river link and railway projects.

BJP leader and Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, who is reviewing preparations for the PM’s visit, said his tour was scheduled for September 15.

“The PM will open the airport for flight operations in the presence of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. This has been a long-standing demand of the people of Purnea. The Purnea airport boasts of the largest runway in Bihar,” he said.

Bihar has airports at Patna, Gaya and Darbhanga, Purnea will be the fourth city in the state to get an airport.
