In the phone conversation, Modi and Putin reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen the India-Russia ties, sources said.
Modi conveyed to Putin that he looked forward to welcoming him in India for the India-Russia annual summit.
The two leaders also reviewed the progress of the bilateral agenda that includes trade, investment and military ties.
