PM to distribute 71,000 appointment letters today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute over 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed recruits in various departments of the Central Government under the ‘Rozgar Mela’ on Monday. He will preside over the event through video conferencing around 10.30 am.
In a statement, Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said the job fair was a step towards the fulfilment of the PM’s commitment towards according highest priority to providing employment.
“The Rozgar Mela will be held at 45 locations across the country. It will provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for participating in nation-building and self-empowerment,” read the statement.
The new recruits will be joining various ministries and departments, including Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Department of Financial Services, among others, the statement said.
The government has been emphasising that foundational training for new recruits is a key feature of the job fair. Training would be imparted through the ‘Karmayogi Prarambh’ module, an online course available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal. It has also maintained that with over 1,400 e-learning courses, the platform will equip recruits with essential skills, enabling them to effectively serve in their roles and work towards building a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
