The Congress leader had a detailed discussion with Luxon, according to a party source.

Earlier, India and New Zealand began negotiations for a “comprehensive and mutually beneficial” Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which, according to Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) officials, is expected to be finalised by the end of this year.

Additionally, the two countries signed key MoUs in several sectors, including horticulture, mobility, and sports.

Upon his arrival in New Delhi, Luxon remarked, “I’ve landed in India—a country of great importance to New Zealand’s prosperity, security, and society.”

“India provides huge economic opportunities for Kiwis. That’s why I’m here, and I’ve brought a senior delegation of business and community leaders with me,” he had said.

Luxon was the chief guest and keynote speaker at the Raisina Dialogue on March 17.
