Ministry of External Affairs Secretary West Tanmaya Lal met the newly appointed Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said on Tuesday. Yermekbayev is on his first official visit to India. Jaiswal said the discussions between the two sides focused on avenues of cooperation in SCO.
