Ayaan Sajad (12) from J&K received the award for excellence in the field of art and culture. He said,“I started singing Sufi songs in the last three years. No matter which profession I choose, Sufi music will stay with me.” Another awardee, Saurav Kumar (9) from Bihar’s Sheikhpura, rescued three girls (aged 9-10) from drowning in a pond.
Karina Thapa (17) from Amravati in Maharashtra received the award for rescuing 36 flat residents from a fire. The other awardees include Keya Hatkar (14), who is an author and disability advocate, recognised for her excellence in art and culture. Vyas Om Jignesh (17), who has cerebral palsy, was awarded for his dedication to Sanskrit literature, having memorised over 5,000 slokas.
Sindhoora Raja, 15, was awarded for creating self-stabilising devices for Parkinson’s patients, and cybersecurity entrepreneur Risheek Kumar, 17, was honoured for launching Kashmir’s first cybersecurity firm. Hembati Nag, a judo player from a Naxal-affected Kondagaon district in Chhattisgarh, received the awardin sports. Sanvi Sood (9) from Ropar has conquered challenging peaks including Mount Elbrus, Mount Kosciuszko and Mount Damavand. She is the youngest Asian girl to summit Mount Kilimanjaro and youngest Indian girl to reach Mount Everest Base Camp.
