New Delhi, August 2
Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Friday asked the government to keep revising the MSPs of crops on a higher side to control the market forces and ensure farmers get a fair remuneration for their produce.
Noting that a good market price for farm produce is the real solution, Dhankhar urged the government to keep raising the MSPs. “If you do that, market forces will also be forced to pay better prices and will remain balanced,” he said. Dhankhar expressed his views when Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was replying to the debate on the agriculture allocation in the Budget in the Rajya Sabha today. — TNS
