Top leadership of 20 countries to attend Raisina
The top leadership of around 20 countries, including Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, will attend the Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi from March 17 to 19.
New Zealand’s Prime Minister Christopher Luxon will be the chief guest and will jointly inaugurate the 10th edition of the Raisina Dialogue — India’s premier conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics — with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Hosted by the Observer Research Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs, the dialogue serves as a multi-stakeholder, cross-sectoral platform, bringing together heads of state, cabinet ministers and local government officials, alongside thought leaders from the private sector, media and academia.
This year’s discussions will span a wide range of global issues, focusing on the unprecedented shifts in power and influence. The rise of new actors is reshaping traditional relationships and forging new ones, while disruptions to the geopolitical order are rendering many global institutions obsolete.
The conference will address climate change as a geopolitical challenge, further complicated by financial constraints. It will also examine digital challenges, emerging technologies and their role in addressing global issues, while weighing the ethical and societal implications of rapid technological adoption.
As geopolitical rivalries intensify, the dialogue will explore how governments and corporations are reassessing their technology supply chains. It will also highlight how the Global South is taking charge of its own development trajectory, moving beyond traditional models.
Security challenges, both conventional and emerging, will be a key focus. In the evolving landscape of warfare, victory will depend not only on industrial capacity — capable of producing large-scale weaponry such as tanks and artillery —but also on rapid innovation in unmanned aerial vehicles and battlefield information systems.
