Will India now concede to US demands to open up its markets in sectors like automobiles, agriculture and others?”

Earlier, US President Donald Trump claimed credit for preventing a potential nuclear war between India and Pakistan, stating that his administration had brokered a “full and immediate ceasefire” between the two nations.

Discontented over United States President Donald Trump’s truce announcement of India with Pakistan, Congress leader Pawan Khera on Monday chided the American head while asking him for an update on captive BSF soldier Purnam Kumar with Islamabad.

Tagging Trump in his post on X, Khera questioned, “When will our BSF jawan Purnam be released from Pakistani captivity?” The jibe came at a time when the Opposition has raised questions about why the ceasefire announcement came from Trump instead of PM Modi’s office.

The Congress on Monday also said the country was feeling “betrayed and humiliated” over US President Donald Trump announcing ceasefire. The party insisted that PM Modi-led regime should call an all-party and special Parliament session to clarify things.

He said Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has decided that the Congress would boycott all-party meeting if the PM skips it. The prime minister has given the last two all-party meetings held post Pahalgam terror attack a miss even as the Opposition insisted on his presence.

“If 26 lives were lost in the Pahalgam attack and there were some four or five terrorists? Have they been caught? If they are not caught, how can you consider Operation Sindoor a success?” asked Baghel.
