'Who applauded Jinnah — it was Advani': Jairam after PM Modi attacks Nehru in Lok Sabha
'And which Indian leader praised Jinnah in his book 2009? It was Jaswant Singh,' said
Moments after Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused Jahawarlal Nehru of compromising the spirit of Vande Mataram to appease the Muslim League, the Congress hit back asking which leaders praised MA Jinnah.
"JL Nehru is being accused of appeasement. But will the PM — the Master Distorian — answer: Which Indian leader formed a coalition in Bengal in the early 1940s with the person who moved the Pakistan resolution in Lahore in March 1940? It was Syama Prasad Mookerjee," Congress general secretary in charge of communications Jairam Ramesh said.
