India and China are working on trade issues to streamline supply chain of rare earth minerals, used in electronics and automobiles, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in the briefing on Thursday.
“We have been in touch with the Chinese side and talking about how we can streamline the supply chain on rare earths,” Jaiswal said.
On June 12, these matters were discussed at a meeting between Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and the Vice Foreign Minister of China, Sun Weidong. India and China had agreed to hold certain functional dialogues in the economic and trade domains to discuss and resolve specific issues of concern.
