Poonch Deputy Commissioner Yasin M. Choudhary on Thursday inaugurated smart classroom facility in 12 government educational institutions across the district.

Provided with hi-tech digital tools, the facility was established in Girls Pahari Hostel, Boys Pahari Hostel, Parisha Child Care, Palash Child Care, KGBV-Balakote, KGBV-Saral among others.

“Aligned with GoI’s Digital India initiative, the programme aims to provide school children with additional opportunities to engage with the content alongside their peers and teachers,” an official said.

The programme aims to provide the students an opportunity to learn digital and IT skills as well as enable the educators to effectively integrate digital tools into their teaching methodologies, making learning more engaging and efficient.
