The J&K Police have issued a lookout notice for a 19-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped by a man from another community, causing an uproar among locals.

The incident took place in Barole village, Akhnoor Tehsil, in Jammu district when Mohammad Imran, a resident of Tanda Ganderwan in Akhnoor, reportedly abducted the girl.

Following the incident, her parents filed a complaint, and an FIR under section 87 of BNS was registered.

The police have issued a lookout notice to locate the missing girl.

The lookout notice reads, “SP Rural, Jammu, intimated that the girl (name withheld) was kidnapped by one Mohd Imran, S/O Gh Rasool. A case FIR under section 87 BNS has been registered at the Arnia police station and an investigation has commenced. Despite a thorough search, her whereabouts are still unknown.”

The notice further stated, “As such, the photograph of the missing girl is being published for the information of the public. Anyone with information about her whereabouts or present location is urged to contact the police.”
