2 terrorist aides nabbed in Shopian
In a joint operation, the Army’s 34 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operations Group (SOG) Shopian, and CRPF 178 Battalion apprehended two terrorist associates in the DK Pora area of Shopian district.
The security forces recovered two pistols, four grenades, 43 live rounds, and other incriminating materials from their possession. Shopian Police have registered an FIR, and further investigation is underway to probe their links and activities.
“In a notable operation against terrorism, a joint naka comprising SOG Shopian, CRPF 178 BN and 34 RR, two suspected persons were arrested. Upon their search 4 hand grenades, 2 pistols, 43 live rounds and other incriminating materials recovered and accordingly an FIR registered,” Shopian police wrote on X. Police did not reveal the identity of the arrested duo.
