Earlier, the department had extended 2G mobile Internet services till April 27, which was extended by issuing an order late Monday evening.

Mobile Internet was snapped in J&K on August 5, ahead of the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories. 2G mobile internet was restored in the UT in phased manner, however, 4G speed is yet to be restored.
