30 business proposals okayed under Mission YUVA

DC Rajesh Sharma chaired the meeting to review and approve applications submitted under the Mission YUVA scheme by the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) and assess the applications forwarded by Business Help Desks (BHDs).
The meeting was attended by General Manager District Industries Centre, AD Employment, District Nodal Officer JKEDI, DDM NABARD, LDM and other officials concerned.
A total of 30 business proposals, verified by the SBDU, were placed before the committee and subsequently approved for financial assistance under the Mission YUVA.
Each application was scrutinised thoroughly based on eligibility, business viability and the socio-economic background of the applicants.
The DC emphasised the importance of promoting self-employment among local youth, particularly those from underprivileged and marginalised sections of society. He directed all departments to ensure timely disbursement of financial support and proper mentoring to ensure the sustainability of the ventures.
