3000 Covid tests daily in Kathua
Govt issues online registration, helpline numbers for those stranded in other states

Jammu/Kathua, May 1
A day after MHA allowed the movement of stranded migrants, students and pilgrims, the UT Administration today announced that it would conduct at least 3,000 tests of the people entering J&K via Lakhanpur in Kathua district on a daily basis.
“In Lakhanpur, 3,000 people can come at a time and 100 buses can ferry these people to their respective districts, but now onwards, 100 per cent corona testing is mandatory for all incoming travellers. Necessary directions regarding this have already been given. The result of the blood test will be available within 24 hours,” said Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam.
Subrahmanyam was accompanying Adviser to Lt- Governor KK Sharma during their visit to Lakhanpur to take stock of preparations being made for the regulated movement of people.
