A 62-year-old woman from Kharian village in Miran Sahib, area of Jammu district, died due to coronavirus at the Government Medical College Jammu on Saturday morning.

According to the hospital sources, the woman was admitted in the hospital on May 24.

On Friday, a woman from Batamaloo area died at Srinagar’s Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) hospital due to Covid-19.

With this—37 people have died due to the deadly disease—32 in Kashmir Valley and five in Jammu.

A total of 3,342 people have been tested positive for the virus so far. 

The past week has witnessed a sharp surge in cases. Over 1,000 infections were reported in seven days.
