ACB arrests 3 govt employees for accepting bribe in Rajouri

Rajouri, November 15
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) wing of Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI), Jammu, has arrested three employees of the Rural Development Department (RDD,) posted in Rajouri district for accepting bribe from a contractor.
The suspects have been identified as Sandeep Singh, technical assistant; Mushtaq Hussain , gram rozgar sahayak; and Ashok Kumar, junior assistant. The trio was posted at Moughla block in Kalakot sub-district.
A contractor had complained that the trio demanded bribe for processing his bills.
Mohd Sharief, Block Development Officer, said, “I was at Jammu to attend an official meeting when the employees were arrested.”
“As it is a holiday on Friday, the departmental action, including suspension of three employees will be take place on Saturday,” said Sushil Khajuria, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD).
Sources said two FIRs have been registered against the trio under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) by the Anti-Corruption Bureau .
