In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Sajad Gani Lone, president of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC), extended his outreach programme during his visit to the border district of Kupwara. The initiative aims to "fortify the party's grassroots engagement," Lone said.

Comprehensive dialogue

Lone first chaired a meeting with workers from the Drugmulla Block of the Handwara constituency. In his address, he called for an intensified effort in the party's outreach programme and consolidating its presence within local communities.

Later, he held a meeting with workers from Langate constituency in Kupwara. “The primary objective of this gathering was to initiate a comprehensive outreach strategy at the grassroots level in the Langate constituency. The interactive session provided a platform for constructive discussions as the party continues its efforts to establish deeper connections with the people,” Lone said in a statement here.

Lone on Saturday conducted a workshop that brought together youth from the district of Kupwara. “The primary objective of this session was to formulate innovative election strategies aimed at enhancing outreach, encompassing both physical and digital platforms,” the party statement said.

“During the workshop, Lone emphasised the imperative adoption of modern election techniques. He pointed out the evolving landscape of contemporary times, stressing that methodologies from the past might not align with the dynamic nature of today's political environment,” the party said.

“Lone stressed the need to leverage digital and social media platforms in the election campaign. Recognising the transformative impact of these platforms, he emphasised the pivotal role of digital and social media in enhancing outreach and advancing the party’s vision and message,” the party statement added. On Friday, he conducted a series of meetings with prominent party workers from Karnah and Trehgam constituencies.
