A militant hideout was busted by the Jammu and Kashmir Police in Samba district on Saturday. Grenades and live rounds were recovered from the spot.

Samba SSP Shakti Pathak said, “Acting on specific information, a search operation was launched by the police in forest areas under the jurisdiction of Gouran police post in Samba on Saturday and grenades and ammunition were found.”

“During the search operation, the police party found 54 live rounds of AK-47 assault rifle and three Chinese-made hand grenades,” the officer said. The hideout was busted inside a forest area.
