The Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) today welcomed the move to nullify the clauses of SRO-202 mentioned in the new recruitment rule, but urged the government to set up a high-level committee to compensate the employees already recruited in the past five years.
“Doing away with applicability of SRO 202 in the new recruitment policy notified by the J&K Government is a big achievement for the people, especially the job aspiring youth, who were about to bear the brunt of this unconstitutional SRO. The JKAP lauds the intervention of the Union Home Minster and Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu who took serious cognizance of our demand and removed the inequality in the recruitment rules,” JKAP senior leader Ghulam Hassan Mir said.
After the recent nullification of SRO-202, the probation period for appointees in the government service will be reduced from five to two years.
Batting for setting up of a high-level committee, Mir stressed on the government to “do justice” with the employees, who were recruited by the government since 2015.
