The UT administration on Tuesday ordered the suspension of the IAS officer, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, with effect from February 29, the day he was detained by the Central investigating agency.
AdvertisementRanjan was presently posted as Additional Chief Executive Officer, Metropolitan Regulatory Authority, Jammu, holding the additional charge of Vice-Chairman, Jammu Development Authority (JDA).
He has been suspended in pursuance of Rule 3(2) of All India Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1969.
A day after he was remanded to 10-day custody of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) by a Srinagar-based court in the arms licensing case, the UT administration today ordered the suspension of the IAS officer, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, with effect from February 29, the day he was detained by the Central investigating agency.
Ranjan was presently posted as Additional Chief Executive Officer, Metropolitan Regulatory Authority, Jammu, holding the additional charge of Vice-Chairman, Jammu Development Authority (JDA). He has been suspended in pursuance of Rule 3(2) of All India Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1969.
Meanwhile, the government ordered that the 2013-batch IAS officer, Vikas Kundal, presently serving as Additional Chief Executive Officer, Metropolitan Region Development Authority, Srinagar, would hold the charge of the posts of MD/CEO, Jammu Mass Rapid Transit Corporation and MD/CEO, Srinagar Mass Rapid Transit Corporation, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
Avny Lavasa, the 2013-batch IAS officer, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), would hold the charge of the posts of Additional Chief Executive Officer, Metropolitan Region Development Authority, Jammu and Vice-Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, in addition to her own duties, till further orders.
Sudhir Bali, Deputy Secretary, Information Department, was transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, in the JMC, against an available vacancy, with immediate effect.
