Vivek Rattan, research scholar at the department of botany, University of Jammu (JU), has been awarded the Best Oral Paper Presentation Award under the plant sciences section in the 14th JK Science Congress organised at the JU recently in collaboration with the J&K Science, Technology and Innovation Counci. Pursuing research under the supervision of Prof Yash Pal Sharma from department of botany, Vivek’s paper titled ‘Conservation, domestication and cultivation of wild shaggy ink cap mushroom, Coprinus comatus .’ was adjudged the best.
BOSE declares result
The J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has declared the result of bi-annual second year examination (jammu province) of diploma in elementary education (DElED). Of total 80 candidates appeared in the examination, 30 candidates have passed it while 5 candidates failed. A total of 45 candidates were placed under the re-appear category. The overall pass percentage stood at 37.50 per cent.
Abhishek gets best paper award
Abhishek Dutta, a PhD research scholar at the department of botany, University of Jammu (JU), has been conferred with the NASI Springer Best Paper Award at the 89th annual session of the academy of sciences (NSAI). The award was presented to him by Prof Manju Sharma at New Delhi in the presence of Prof G Padmanabhan, president NASI and Former Director, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.
