J&K Congress working president Raman Bhalla on Sunday accused the BJP of depriving the people of Jammu and Kashmir of a democratically elected government.
“Despite knowing that bureaucratic rule was not an alternative for a democratically elected government, the BJP deprived the people of the erstwhile state of the latter,” Bhalla stated during an event in Samba district.
He said people would now finally get to vote after with intervention of the Supreme Court, and teach a lesson to the BJP. The Congress had been continuously fighting against the “anti-people policies of the Centre and the administration in J&K” since 2014, he added.
Expressing confidence on winning the upcoming poll, Bhalla said the Congress would secure a major victory in the J&K. He said people were fed up of the anti-people, anti-poor and anti-trader policies of the BJP government. “They will definitely show BJP its place in the Assembly elections,” he added.
The J&K Congress working president further said that the Congress leadership had started working on a revival plan, and the cadre was being revitalised to carry on the party’s political campaign with renewed vigour.
Party’s district chief Sanjeev Sharma, former MLA Devi Dass and former minister Yashpal Kundal also attended the event in Samba.
