Black-top roads, lanes in Old City

A visit to the Old Cty is enough to understand how the historic past of Jammu has been left to die. Added to this is the apathy of government agencies who have left roads and lanes with huge potholes. There has been no effort to blacktop the area where underground sewerage pipes were laid. JMC needs policy for stay cattle rehab

The JMC a few days ago started a campaign against stray cattle in the Channi Himmat area. We welcome the step, but the authorities should come up with concrete policy to deal with the issue. Dumping garbage into Jhelum

At the Safa Kadal bridge, one often sees load carriers stopping and dumping garbage, including rotten vegetables and fruits, into the Jhelum. Not only this, sometimes non-biodegradable items are also dumped into the river. Pathetic condition of roads
