As the chances of any relaxation in the ongoing lockdown in Jammu and Kashmir are slim amid the deadly Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, the J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is likely to come up with a strategy soon on the evaluation process of the Senior Secondary Examination (SSE) and Higher Secondary Part-II annual regular summer zone 2020.
Sources said the BOSE authorities are in consultation with the J&K Government to find a possible way out to start the evaluation of papers of the board classes so that there would not be much delay.
The school education board has suspended the evaluation process of the Senior Secondary Examination (SSE) and Higher Secondary Part-II till further orders.
They added that another reason behind chalking out a strategy to evaluate papers is the concern among the candidates as well as their parents who are worried over their academic future in the prevailing crisis-like situation.
Prof Veena Pandita, BOSE Chairperson, said the decision regarding resuming of the evaluation would be taken shortly. “We are in contact with the authorities concerned so that the evaluation process is started as early as possible. We understand the concerns of all stakeholders, including parents and their children”, BOSE Chairperson said.
When asked her about the rumours about home evaluation by teachers/evaluators, Veena Pandita replied, “I was also informed about the same, but as of now nothing has been finalised and I am hopeful of a possible solution soon”.
